The Bespoke Corner visits Ras Al Khaimah from its Business Bay atelier, an hour and a half up the coast. We measure and fit at your home, villa or resort, from Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra to Mina Al Arab. The destination weddings at the Al Marjan and Al Wadi resorts make black tie the order we carry north most often.

Ras Al Khaimah spreads between the mountains and the sea: the old town and the creek, the villas and marina of Al Hamra, the waterfront homes of Mina Al Arab, and the resort islands reaching out at Al Marjan, with Jebel Jais rising behind. More than any northern emirate, it runs on tourism and celebration, and the tailoring that travels here is dressier for it.

The resorts set the tone. Destination weddings and gala dinners at the Waldorf Astoria on Al Marjan Island and the Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi in the desert bring tuxedos and sharp suits, measured at the villa or the resort suite and fitted the same way. For the daytime and the warmer calendar there are linen suits and tailored kaftans, cool enough for a courtyard lunch or a family gathering inland. We bring the fabric books up and cut everything at the Business Bay atelier.

At an hour and a half, Ras Al Khaimah is the furthest of our regular northern visits and always a planned one. We group it with Umm Al Quwain and Ajman on a single coastal run, and for a wedding we fit the whole party together on site. Clients with time in Dubai sometimes prefer to measure and collect at the showroom and keep the drive to the fittings alone.

Ras Al Khaimah is about ninety minutes each way, so visits are planned well ahead and usually grouped with the emirates just south. Tell us whether you are at Al Marjan, Al Hamra, Mina Al Arab or inland, and we set the run. For a resort wedding, give us the date early so every fitting lands before it.

Does The Bespoke Corner come all the way to Ras Al Khaimah?

Yes, by appointment. We bring the fabric books to your home, villa or resort anywhere in RAK, from Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra to Mina Al Arab, measure you there, and return for fittings. It is about ninety minutes from the atelier, so we plan it well ahead, usually grouped with the emirates to the south. The visit is free with an order.

Can you dress a destination wedding at Al Marjan or Al Wadi?

Yes. We measure the groom and the party at the Waldorf Astoria on Al Marjan Island, the Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi, or your villa, in one sitting, then return to fit everyone together. Tuxedos and sharp suits are the usual order. Give us the wedding date early so every fitting is finished before it.

How long should I allow for a RAK commission?

Allow about 6 to 8 weeks from the first measuring to collection, and a little more for a full wedding party. We group Ras Al Khaimah with Umm Al Quwain and Ajman on set coastal runs, so your fittings fall on those days. For a fixed event date, tell us at the start and we plan around it.

Is it worth coming to the Business Bay showroom from RAK?

For some, yes. The drive is about ninety minutes, and the showroom holds all 3,000-plus fabrics in one room. A number of Ras Al Khaimah clients measure and collect in Dubai on a day they are already down, and leave only the fittings to our northern run, or do those in the showroom too.
