Tailoring between meetings in DIFC.

The Bespoke Corner tailors bespoke suits for the people who work in DIFC, from our atelier ten to fifteen minutes away in Business Bay. We come up to your office in the Gate Village, ICD Brookfield Place or Index Tower between meetings, measure you in thirty minutes, and return for fittings the same way. Strict business dress is what we do most.

Suits that survive a DIFC day

DIFC compresses banks, law firms and funds into a few hundred metres between the Gate and ICD Brookfield Place. Dress codes here are written and unwritten at once: navy and charcoal worsteds, structured shoulders, a proper collar. The district also eats evenings, with Gate Avenue dinners and client events that a suit has to survive from eight in the morning. For many of our DIFC clients, an English cut in a hard-wearing cloth is not style; it is equipment.

An office visit fits inside a lunch slot. We bring shortlisted fabric books to your floor in the Gate Village, Emirates Financial Towers or Currency House. Measuring happens in a meeting room, and your pattern stays on file so reorders need no appointment at all. English and three-piece suits in Scabal and Reda cloths carry the courtroom and the boardroom. Thomas Mason shirts are cut to the collar you actually wear. Women partners order pantsuits the same way, drafted from their own pattern, often in a pair so one is always back from the press.

Timing is the whole art here. We group DIFC visits so colleagues on one floor can share a morning, and a first fitting can land in the gap before your next call. If you would rather leave the district, the showroom is a short drive away in Business Bay. The full range of 3,000-plus fabrics waits there, with room for an appointment after the markets close. Alterations to suits made elsewhere follow the same route.

Financial Centre metro station is the nearest stop, a short walk from the Gate. For office visits we need only a meeting room and thirty minutes, and because most buildings register visitors, we confirm names and timing with reception the day before.

Questions

DIFC: common questions

Can you measure me at my desk between meetings in DIFC?

Yes, that is how most DIFC orders start. We come to your office in the Gate Village, ICD Brookfield Place or any tower in the district, with a shortlist of cloths agreed on WhatsApp beforehand. Measuring takes about thirty minutes in a meeting room, and fittings can happen the same way.

What do people in DIFC usually order?

Navy and charcoal English suits, and the three-piece for those who want the waistcoat working when the jacket comes off. Scabal, Reda and Drago cloths in hard-wearing weights do most of the work, with Thomas Mason shirts underneath. Eveningwear comes up around the winter gala season, but the working suit is the constant.

How long will a bespoke suit take for a DIFC schedule?

Allow about 6 to 8 weeks from measuring to collection. Fittings are short and happen at your office, so the suit costs you less diary time than most internal meetings. If you are ordering ahead of a court date, a closing dinner or a new role, tell us and we work to that date.

Do you make pantsuits for women in DIFC?

Yes, and they are a growing share of our DIFC work. Each pantsuit is drafted on its own pattern, with the trouser cut and shoulder line decided with you, not borrowed from menswear. We measure in your office or at home, and we also alter tailoring you already own.
