We come out to the Palm.

Palm Jumeirah lives on two calendars at once. Residents fill the frond villas, the Shoreline Apartments along the trunk and the Golden Mile. Many are settled families with school runs and standing dinner plans. Then there is the visiting calendar: destination weddings, gala dinners and award nights at Atlantis The Royal and the crescent hotels. Both calendars tend to end in an invitation that says black tie.

We fit the Palm at home. A frond villa gives us room to work. We drape cloths from Scabal and Cerruti over a chair and measure the whole household in one evening. Couples order together here more than anywhere: his dinner jacket and her tuxedo for the same gala, cut as a pair. Linen suits carry the daytime side, beach lunches at Palm West Beach and weekends on the water. For apartments on the trunk, we simply time the drive around the evening traffic rather than fight it.

The run back to our Business Bay atelier takes 25 to 35 minutes, and every garment is cut and sewn there. Most Palm orders need two fittings, both at your address, and we group frond visits so neighbours can share an evening. For wedding parties flying in, we start with whoever is already in Dubai and schedule the rest around arrival dates. October to February is the Palm's gala and wedding stretch, so book ahead of it when the date is fixed.

There is no metro on the Palm, so every appointment is a drive-out; give us the frond or building and any gate instructions and we arrive with everything. Daytime slots miss the evening traffic on the trunk, and we keep evening slots for after work. Fittings in your hotel suite before a gala can also be arranged.
